Minsk gets prepared to Day of solidarity

Preparation to Day of Solidarity in Minsk continues. Hundreds of new leaflets with call to take part in Day of solidarity appear daily in central districts of Belarusian capital. In the nights graffiti – number 16 in circle appear in residential areas.

Representatives of civil society called upon Belarusian to carry out Days of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners, disappeared oppositionists, their families, independent journalists, with all who struggle for freedom and democracy in Belarus on the 16th day of every month. The first day of solidarity was held on October 16. More than 100 000 people took part in it. On November 16 at 8 p.m. Belarusians will turn off the light on 15 minutes and light candles in their windows.
