International scholarship programme jointly run by UniCredit Private Banking and the Giovanni Agnelli Foundation, Turin (Italy).

The Giovanni Agnelli Research Scholarship in the Economics of Contemporary Art is awarded since 2004 in memory of Giovanni Agnelli and his lifelong love for contemporary art. It aims at promoting and funding original research works by young scholars on subjects concerning the economics, organization and markets of contemporary art.

The third edition (2006) of the Research Scholarship intends to address the emerging cultural trends in New Europe countries and calls for research projects on the following topical subject: Sources of Creativity. Contemporary Arts in Central and Eastern Europe.

Candidate projects from scholars (max. 32 years old) from all EU countries are required to focus on the evolution of contemporary art and contemporary art markets after 1989 in the continental countries that joined the European Union in 2004 (the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia).
