Nominations for 2007 Prince Claus Awards - conflict and cultureThe Prince Claus Fund (http://www.princeclausfund.org/nl/index.html) is currently soliciting nominations for its 2007 awards. The Prince Claus Awards are presented annually to artists, intellectuals and relevant organisations for their exceptional achievements in the areas of culture and development.
The 2007 Prince Claus Awards will focus on the theme of ‘culture and conflict’. Individuals and organisations that are doing outstanding work to expose, analyse, reduce and resolve conflicts through their innovative cultural actions are eligible.
Details on how to nominate a person or organisation for the 2007 Prince Claus Awards can be found in the attached ‘letter nomination request’. Please note that the deadline for nominations has been changed to 1 November 2006. Also attached are a policy note on the 2007 awards; a note on culture and conflict; a list of eligible countries; and an overview of the themes and laureates of the past ten years.
