Youth and Active Citizenship

Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. The key to help the new generation understand how an open society functions and how to participate in it, is quality civic education. But education alone is not enough - young people also need to be encouraged to stand up and take the lead in initiating innovative ideas.

The Youth and Active Citizenship program currently has one subprogram: the Youth Action Fund, running since September 2009. The Youth Action Fund gives young people an opportunity to carry out small initiatives to raise issues important to them.
